A small NJ based, low-budget film production company specializing in genre films (Horror, Comedy, Suspense, etc.) lensed and produced in and around the state of NJ with most plots and story-points related to and set in the NJ area capturing the distict flavor and atmosphere of the garden state in all its quirky and weird glory.

Surfing on the new wave of cutting edge and affordable ditigal media, DeadPan Films will help pioneer the next movement of Independent Filmmaking for the next generation. Standing on the cusp of tomorrow, filmmaking... as we know it... is on the brink of everlasting change--- just as it had in the coming age of sound. Great advances in digital tehnology has endowed the greatest power upon that which has lack it the most: the little man... i.e. the low-budget independent filmmaker! Never before in the history of cinema could one individual with a camera be able to make his/hers voice heard and acknowledged through the art of film...

Too often the term independent or low-budget brings to the mind of the general public a perception of ametuerish, Z-grade sleaze not worthy of their attention let alone their hard earned dollar. Sadly, more often than not, this perception is totally justifiable with many a no-talent hack attempting to push their "product" as proper enteratinment just to pass a buck or two. DPF hopes to change all this...

Focusing on only the best scripts and ideas "big budget" studios would never dare touch, DPF will only offer the most daring, thrilling, provocative and--- above all--- ENTERTAINING films made on only a fraction of the budget of films from the sunny hills of Hollywood. Unlike the big budgets wasted on meaningless overhead and needless expenses... we believe the money (however large or small it may be) should be spent on where it is most important... ON THE SCREEN! Every dollar will be spent for the film and NOT to fatten some faceless exec's pockects! With the box office revenues of big budget affairs declining by the millions... and DVD sells/rentals on the rise... it is fair to say that the public at large is tiring of the meaningless specticle only Hollywood can seem to offer and are hungry for something with my heart...

Whether it be drama, comedy, or suspense/horror... DPF will use the current digital technology to provide only the BEST and MOST ENTERTAINING films, bringing prestige to the ever-growing army of low-budget independent filmmaking the whole world over...
