| Written in the summer of 2004, this feature length version was set to begin filming in the winter of 2004-2005. However, due to a financial meltdown and severe time constrictions, the film was put on hold in favor of producing a shorter version (the one featured on this website) in order to play in festivals and generate some word-of-mouth interest in a possible feature rendition of the story. Submitted below are a brief synopsis, two excerpts from the completed script, and a couple of stills of the few scenes which were completed. | Laurie Holden would appear to have the perfect life... married to a successful chiropractor, living in a beautiful house in the country, and financial security beyond her wildest dreams. However, Lauireholds a dark secret that threatens to destory her happy home and, perhaps, her very existence... With the death of her first born child of only five months, Laurie's happy world begins to crumble around her. Her husband, Mark, is having an adulterous affair with his secretary/nurse Susan Goodwill, leaving Laurie detached and alone. Suddenly, she starts to relapse into nyctophobia (a fear of the dark), which she has not had since a child, and can't be left alone in any room without all the lights at full blaze, extinguishing all shadows around her and constantly blowing teh fuses of the house. She has also become haunted by frightening visions of her abusive and long deceased father, who died of a freak accident when she was just a child. |

| Laurie also believes she is being watched by a menacing specter of a child wearing a pig-mask, which lurks in the shadows waiting until Laurie lets her guard down. It is this phantom Laurie is convinced may have killed her baby, along with her father many yaers earlier. | William Marcovey, to cure Laurie of her paranoia which he believes is a direct result of the nyctophobia. Against her better judgement, Laurie agrees tolet Marcovey perform hypnosis, learning that the specter in the pig mask is an "imaginary" friend she once had as a child to coup with her isolation named Brigette. However, Brigitte was not the nicest of friends and would make things "happen", causing Laurie to face the terrible wrath of her father, forcing Laurie to break off the friendship. Not to be turned away, Brigitte would return at night, terroring young Laurie with her frightening pig masked face. Laurie believes it is Brigitte who has returned to reclaim her "friendship" and will stop at nothing to have it... including killing Laurie if she has to! However, when she blows one of her customary fuses, Laurie plunges into a world of shadow and darkness and now must struggle to survive that night. | Still waiting on the proper funding, DeadPan Films holds this project in pre-production limbo. With the eventual success of Nothing In the Dark (short version), as well as any future projects, DPF hopes to raise the funds necessary to bring this film into fruition and, finally, distribution as its flagship production; the first in what will be many more features films to come...
