BBC One Documentary Rooney: The Man Behind the Goals.

In 2015 I was in the pub with my good mate and producer, Molly Armstrong. We were having a brainstorm over a couple of beers and he piped up: “Isn’t Rooney gonna break the England goals record soon?” He was right. At that point, at the age of 28, Rooney was fewer than 10 goals away from Bobby Charlton’s total, which had stood for 44 years.

Tim and I have just returned from our little jaunt out to Houston, Texas. WorldFest is the world's longest-running indie film festival. It began life in 1968 and its founder Hunter Todd is still going strong and doing a brilliant job of running this unique event.

TalkSport

Many years ago, I met the TalkSport presenter and Spurs fan, Paul Hawksbee. In between anchoring his radio show 'Hawksbee and Jacobs', he was writing for Harry Hill's TV Burp. My brother Grant was working on the show and had wangled me a very small part. You know that bit where Harry would shout, “FIGHT”? Well, I had to run on dressed as Pop Idol judge Dr Fox and have a punch-up with a bloke dressed as Simon Cowell. I nailed it.

Those who follow our movements closely will know about our film, Perfect State. Well, I’m pleased to say we’ve finally finished it. For those not familiar with the project, it’s a darkly comic look at as dystopian Britain of the near future and it features great performances from the likes of Miles Jupp, Ben Jones and our very own Ryan ‘The Hunter’ Philpott.
